Picture this:

A model walks down the room wearing an outifit that is so exquisite, it creates a pop culture phenomenon that redefines how women dress in the 21st century. It is one of the many seeds that are sowed, in a feminist movement that is giving us many heroines who today still fight for those without a voice.

…Because it all started when she looked in the mirror and felt beautiful. Don’t they say you have to love yourself before you can truly love anyone else?...

At the same time, another women comes out of the slums of an economic wasteland wearing next to nothing. Because the clothes on her back are the remnants of a time when she was happy, she wears them everyday, perhaps she tells herself this in front of the mirror so that she can remember the once beautiful girl she was. She is still a girl, not much older actually but the ravages of a reality so vicious, it eats you from the inside out, have torn her apart. Family lost to famine, war, and Aids and in addition all the horrible things a woman could possibly go through in a post-colonial masculine society. Yet she carries on everyday because that same dress, gives her hope and the will to look after her younger brothers who need her as much as the life they cling onto. …

…She makes it in the end, because the universe conspires to deliver what you sweat for, her younger siblings survive and go on to change the world when they are older…

Back to my story…

These two worlds are not so different, Both versions of the same woman, striving to make their “worlds” a better place. The undying strength of a mother, a sister, a woman, a niece, an aunt, a friend …but most of all the courage of a GIRL, the one you look at in the mirror, that one who reminds you that you are beautiful.

Every woman should feel like that everyday.

That is why we are launching, clothing line by inspired designers and artists from the world over, women who try and express that inner voice in a visual way. We are seeking unique artists globally that can interpret what it feels to be women. From all corners of our globe, Skewlbuoy Clothing for women hopes they will understand each other more, and most importantly love themselves even more.

Look beautiful because you are beautiful, far beyond your skin depth.
