…because it is all connected.

Someone I respect a lot told me “every person in their hearts-of-hearts believes that they are unique, and in all cases it is true, the only sin is that they never share this light/talent with the rest of the world”.

Christianity, Islam, Kabbala and a myriads of other spiritual identities all seem to be saying the same thing “if you have a talent, if you have something you love, that act of self expression that defines you, let it shine because there is no better day than today” do not let a hobby, talent, or your little creative habits whither away.
Start painting again, singing in the shower, rewrite that script you always wanted to, solve that crazy Physics equation, learn a language. Just Do It! (without the Nike sign).

Cliché as it might sound, I cannot promise you that you will change the world, but I will promise you this, those ideas are the sum-parts that will one day spark young minds that will change the world.

We are those young minds. Yes, you and me! We are “works in progress”, edging towards a vision, a goal...basically towards freedom and happiness.

The definitions of Freedom and Happiness are up to you to decide. What remains true though is that:

“Our world needs healing and it is our responsibility”

And that duty falls upon every one of us. Unlike many of the doomsday soothsayers that paint pictures of a world gone topsy-turvy, I find some poetic beauty in the whole fiasco.

You see, when your life gets cluttered and messy, you usually realize it and then take the necessary steps to bring it back to that point where you were relatively happiest.

Our duty right now is to clean up our planet and get it back to what it was, that idyllic Utopia of clean air and whatnot. The whole process of restructuring our earth will serve to reconnect us to the little small beauties of life, the little joys, and the sum parts of maximum utility.

It is therefore not about Homo Sapiens trying to save their lives, but about homo-sapiens realizing their place in the giant evolutionary puzzle (I use evolution in the broadest sense possible).

I digress, what I am basically saying is that we are living in exciting times, exciting because it feels like once in our lives we (humanity) are in control of our destinies. We have choices to make, freewill to decide which direction we will go to, the options are vast, and the possibilities endless. I hope we choose wisely and dare I say democratically (but that is a whole other issue!)

Skewlbuoys unite!

On a side note, Skewlbuoy has been in stealth mode for a while, this is because something is cooking. Stay Tuned!!

Im looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with for the female line.

good piece here. I do think we need to start setting higher standards for ourselves. Too many people are content with mediocrity nowadays and give up too easily.
